Summer Meals Program
BREAKFAST
Monday: continental choice.
Tuesday: continental choice.
Wednesday: continental choice.
Thursday: continental choice.
Friday: continental choice.
LUNCH
Monday: corn dog, Spartan fries, broccoli florets and dip, mandarin oranges.
Tuesday: cheese pizza, tri tater, baby carrots and dip, tropical fruit.
Wednesday: turkey fritter, hot roll, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn, diced peaches.
Thursday: crispitos, nacho chips, cheese sauce, tossed salad, strawberries.
Friday: grilled cheese sandwich, tater tots, green beans, pineapple.
Juice and milk are served with breakfast; milk is served with lunch.
Free summer meals are served at Logan Avenue, Riverside, Timmerman, Walnut and William Allen White elementary schools and Emporia Middle School and Emporia High School.
Friendship Meals
EMPORIA
Friendship meals are served at noon at the Emporia Senior Center, 603 E. 12th Ave.
Reservations should be made one day in advance by calling the Senior Center, 343-3160, between 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. For home delivery, call 340-8001.
These meals will be served next week.
Monday: Swiss steak, boiled potatoes, carrots, wheat bread, applesauce.
Tuesday: chicken and dumplings, broccoli salad, wheat bread, scalloped apples.
Wednesday: pork roast, scalloped potatoes, green beans, wheat roll, ice cream and cake.
Thursday: turkey slice, dressing, mixed vegetables, wheat bread, creamy orange salad.
Friday: hamburger steak, masked potatoes and gravy, corn, wheat roll, gelatin with fruit.
NORTH LYON COUNTY
Friendship meals are served at noon at: the Americus Senior Center, 516 Locust St., (620) 443-5352 and the North Lyon County Senior Center at Allen, (620) 528-3414; Reading residents who want meals can call the North Lyon County Senior Center.
Reservations should be made by phone one day in advance.
These meals will be served next week.

Tuesday: turkey with dressing, gravy, Scandanavian-blend vegetables, hot roll, creamy orange salad.
Wednesday: beef and noodles, mashed potatoes, green beans, biscuit, cookies, tropical fruit.
Thursday: chicken chef salad with tomato, cheese and egg, bread sticks, fruited gelatin.
Friday: hamburger steak, stuffed baked potato, steamed cabbage, hot roll, starwberry shortcake.
