The Chase County Leader-News reported that it will take 1,000 tons of “shot rock” to temporarily repair the recent flood damage to the Clements Stone Arch Bridge. Paul Jones, road and bridge supervisor for Chase County gave the estimate during a recent Chase County Board of County Commissioners recently. The approach to the bridge was washed out during flooding in May. Jones told the board that a declaration of disaster should be coming soon that would include FEMA funding for repair of the approach to the bridge.
