All listed are certainly worthy of a pat on the back. It would be good to also include the crew at Heartland Racing, especially Jim Cummins and Joel Dyke, who put on the "Dirty Kanza 200" bike race this past weekend. The considerable efforts of these folks brought in 85 racers and probably three-fold that number of family and friends to Emporia. All these visitors filled motel rooms, went out to eat (a lot), bought supplies and generally developed a deep appreciation for the beauty of the Flint Hills.
