Retiring the flags

Soiled or torn U.S. flags that are ready for an honorable retirement may be taken to the office of attorney Charles Rayl in Cottonwood Falls. The Chase County All Veterans Committee will have its annual Flag Day flag-retirement ceremony at 8:45 p.m. June 14 in Swope Park at Cottonwood Falls. Flags for retirement may also be brought to the ceremony.

Rayl’s office is at 327 Broadway and is open from 8 a.m. to noon and 1 to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
