Jock’s Nitch and Laser Expressions temporarily will share the same building at 912 Commercial St., as Jock’s Nitch closes its operation here and Laser Expressions expands its business and moves into a new location.
Beginning on Monday, Rick and Rhonda Robidou of Americus will have part of their operation in the back room at Jock’s Nitch, where they will accept and process orders until the Jock’s Nitch liquidation sale is complete and it closes officially.
The Robidous will get full possession of the building on July 15, and have planned a grand opening on Aug. 8.

Not technically a new business, since they're already established. But at least the building won't be empty.

Anybody else annoyed by the referal to the printed edition to get the whole story. I subscribe to the print version, but prefer to read online so that I can participate in a discussion, if I want. And yes, I understand the Gazette is trying to make money in a sour economy. However, there has to be a better business model to follow.

The Robidous are good people. They already have a successful business outside of Americus. They'll be a fine addition to main street Emporia!

Irish, I agree completely and I believe it *especially* deplorable to "abbreviate" the obituaries. How much further will this poor excuse of a newspaper sink? And to think we feel CableOne has a monopoly......

Yes, the referal to print edition angers me.... not so much on news stories, but particulary with obituaries.... I think they should be printed in entirity so that out-of-towners that want to keep up on friends & relatives can do so. I think it would be a sign of respect for the deceased and their loved ones.

...and everyone at the Gazette should work for free, live in the basement and get their meals from the Salvation Army. And it's "entirety".
