The Emporia city commission will look at adopting a capital improvement plan that will outline the city’s expected capital expenses over the next five fiscal years at its regular meeting Wednesday. The meeting will take place at 1:30 p.m. in the city commission/municipal court room, 518 Mechanic St.
Also on the agenda are: a proclamation declaring June as Zoo Month in Emporia; a proposal to perform nutrient study at the wastewater treatment plant; a bid for water main project at 1839 Merchant St.; a resolution adopting a revised economic development loan policy; and a resolution adopting a debt collection policy.
Commissioners also will continue an adjourned study session to discuss a contract for the Jones Aquatic Center and a master agreement with the Emporia Recreation Commission.

Why not release the report on the projects in the CIP to the public before adopting it.
