KansasWorks, a division of the Kansas Department of Commerce, has opened the state’s newest KansasWorks Share network site in Emporia at 625 Merchant St., Room 238. The site is sharing space with the Resource Center for Independent Living.
The site is intended to provide a clearing house for community and faith-based services for people looking for jobs.
Trained volunteers provide one-on-one help with job searches, resume and cover-letter writing and interview preparation. The volunteers also connect job-seekers with services listed on www.sharenetworkks.com, including food banks, clothing banks, rehabilitation and health services.
