Cory T. Leffler, 21, of Americus, who was found dead in a field Saturday, died of natural causes, according to the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office.
Around 1:05 p.m. Saturday, the sheriff’s office was called to 2334 Road C for an unattended death. Leffler was found in the field.
The preliminary finding from an autopsy is that Leffler died from an aortic aneurysm, said Undersheriff Richard Old.
“He probably felt some discomfort but wouldn’t have felt the pain like a heart attack,” Old said.
Old said Leffler had long-term heart problems.
