Lots of help

THE EMPORIA AQUATIC CLUB would like to thank everyone who helped make our meet a huge success. We had so many volunteers and we appreciate all their time and energy.
Not only were our club parents hugely involved, but we had club parents ask for help from co-workers, friends and family. Without all the volunteers, we could not have hosted almost 200 swimmers. We will not attempt to mention all the names involved so that we don’t forget to mention anyone. However, we would like to especially thank The Gazette for not only helping us design our t-shirts but also for the great coverage they provided. Also, we would like to thank KVOE for allowing us to call in to Saturday Morning Sports Talk as well as cover our swimmer’s accomplishments on the air. Lastly, a thank you to Nikki B’s for being on site selling our t-shirts. We are also happy to note that the City of Emporia was complimented by teams from all over the region in the design and layout of our Jones Aquatic Center.
We can not forget to mention our coaches, Kyle Ediger and Keri Johnson, for leading our swimmers daily in practice and our swimmers for all their hard work day in and day out, year round. We are very proud of all the effort they put in to consistently improve and excel in the sport.
We are very excited about our next two meets in November and next and July. Knowing all the support we received from the community for this meet will make the next two meets bigger and better than they have ever been.
