Cory T. Leffler, 21, of Americus, was found unresponsive in a field Saturday, according to the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office. The death has been preliminarily deemed from natural causes.
Around 1:05 p.m. Saturday, the sheriff’s office responded to 2334 Road C for an unattended death. Leffler was found in the field.
The preliminary cause of death was that Leffler died from an aortic aneurysm, said Under Sheriff Richard Old.
“He probably felt some discomfort but wouldn’t have felt the pain like a heart attack,” Old said.
Old said the death was from natural causes and that Leffler had long-term heart problems.
