The Chase County Leader-News reported that County Treasurer Sondra Butter officially resigned on June 24. Her term was set to expire in October. Butter began her tenure as treasurer when she was elected to the position in 2004. She lost the August 2008 primary election to Janet Ayers who went on to win the office in the November 2008 election.
Elmdale
The Chase County Leader-News reported that the Chase County Board of County Commissioners signed the paperwork to add the decking of the Elmdale river bridge to the county’s five-year construction plan.
