Bedtimes went out the window Tuesday night as Emporia fans of Harry Potter, the boy wizard, flocked to the Flinthills Mall for the opening of “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince,” the sixth film made from the popular books by J.K. Rowling.
The first showing was at midnight. Some fans showed up in costume and participated in a costume contest out in the mall before the show.
The crowd was so big that the Flinthills 8 Cinema had to use five of its eight screens to show the movie.
