Lena Hobble Young will celebrate her 95th birthday on July 17, 2009. Her family request a card shower for her with cards to be sent to the Holiday Resort, No. 402, 2700 W. 30th Ave., Emporia, KS 66801. Her family also will be hosts for an open reception in honor of the celebrant from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. July 18 at the Holiday Resort. They ask for no gifts, please, just cards.
