Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Flint Hills will serve hot breakfasts made with local ingredients beginning at 8 a.m. Saturday at the Emporia Farmers Market kiosk in the parking lot at Merchant Street and Seventh Avenue. Sales of biscuits and gravy ($3 single, $5 double); bacon ($1 small order, $2 large order); juice and coffee (50 cents) will help finance BBBS programming. On Wednesday, Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Flint Hills will serve a hot supper made with local ingredients beginning at 5 p.m. at the Farmers Market kiosk. Foods include kebabs, $3; grilled corn with choice of herb butters, $2; chips and salsa, $1.50; iced tea and lemonade, 50 cents. Proceeds will help finance BBBS programming.
