The Kansas Department of Transportation will begin repairing and resurfacing two bridges on K-99 in Greenwood County on Thursday. The bridges are approximately 1.2 and 1.6 miles south of the Lyon-Greenwood County line. Temporary signals will guide one-lane traffic through the work zone, which will include both bridges. Motorists should expect delays of 15 minutes or less, stated the news release.
The bridge work should be completed by early November, weather permitting. For more information, call Iola Area construction engineer Jerod Kelley at (620) 365-2161 or Southeast Kansas Public Affairs manager Priscilla Peterson at (877) 550-5368.
