Emporia State men’s track and field athletes Alex Pyle and Kevin Rouhlac were named to the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team on Tuesday.
To qualify for the team, the student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 and have met the NCAA Division II indoor or outdoor automatic or provisional qualifying standard in their respective event.
Pyle won the MIAA indoor championship in the high jump and provisionally qualified for the national meet in both indoor and outdoor. He has a 3.52 GPA in mathematics.
Rouhlac provisionally qualified for the national meet in the hammer throw. He holds a 3.97 GPA in social science.
They were among 15 student-athletes named to the Men's All-Academic team from the MIAA. The women's list was released earlier this week. Pyle and Rouhlac joined Lady Hornets Jackie Jacobs, Katie Mona, Jaclyn Sill, Renae Weaver and Christy Weller on the team.
