Man, oh, Man!! Can you ship some of that sweet corn to Denver? We have a hard time finding a "real" farmers market here. They claim they are a farmers market, but sure doesn't look like the vegetables are home grown, straight out of a field!!! They think they can fool me, but I'm a Kansas girl, I know home grown goodies when I see them!!

chiefsfan..I'm a Colorado girl, in Kansas and as good as the vegetables are here, you can't beat Olathe Sweet Corn, (Olathe, CO.). You probably have to go to a Kings/City/Kroegers Market, in Denver to get it .
(now, this wasn't meant to start a Colorado vs. Kansas thing). " I'm just trying to help out, until you come back to Kansas for your own home grown goodies. :-)

They're still green, but, I know they're going to be good, because I have taken such good care of them.
Truthfully, I'm new to the vegetable garden stuff...I'll let you know how they turn out :-). before I promise to UPS them.
How do you like it in Colorado?

Love it! We have been here since 2001. Started 4-wheeling on ATV's about 4 years ago. Are you actually in Emporia? Lived there most of my life. Where abouts in Colorado are you from? We are in Centennial, suburb of Denver. Husband was recently laid off, so who knows, may end up back in Emporia. My folks still live there.

Montrose ....Yes I'm in Emporia now...and I love it. I can't get used to the humidity though.
Sorry about your husband getting laid off. It's not a good time right now for a lot of people....I wish you luck.

Thank you! Yes, very humid in Kansas. We were there a couple of weeks ago visiting the parents. Told my folks that sitting in a sauna would be like sitting in air conditioning compared to Kansas!
