I'm still very disapointed in the Salvation Army. I hope they are giving away things in need to these families. Our donations were refused because they "didn't have room".. There were TONS of clothing items that were in great condition that could have went to many school children!

ESU - Grace United Methodist Church has a function every year before school starts where they give away donated items such as those you mentioned. Maybe you, or anyone else with donations, should get in touch with someone at the church and see if they have 'room' for your items.

There is a church at 12 th and Neosho that has clothing giveaways a couple times a year and they draw large crowds, I know they appreciate all clothing that is given to them. Salvation Army gets so much stuff in the summer time they dont always have room for it. The back to school stuff the salvation army gives away is new back packs plus paper, pencils, ect. very helpful for families living on a tight budget.
