• The Emporia Public Library Brown Bag Concert at noon Wednesday features “Laughing Matters,” with juggling, mime, magic and “other nonsense,” performed by Jay and Leslie’s United Imaginations.There is no charge. In case of inclement weather, the event will be held inside the library.
• The bands performing at Live in the Lot on Wednesday will be “Kids Can Dream Out Loud” at 7:30 p.m. and “Evil Love Drones” at 8:30 p.m. The Farmers Market opens at 5 p.m. Wednesday (and 8 a.m. Saturday). These events are held in the parking lot at Seventh Avenue and Merchant Street.
• Bill Ihling, solo performer, will be at The Noose, 323 Commercial St., on July 10. Call 343-8629 for show times. No cover charge.
• “The Usual Suspects” play July 17 and 31 at The Noose.
• Country music artist Ricky Fugitt is returning to Emporia for a one-time show at 9 p.m. July 10 and 2 p.m. July 12 at Cole’s Bar, 707 Commercial St. He has been touring all over Texas, Oklahoma and Kansas.
• A record fundraiser show, Radio City w/Fairbanks, will be held at 9 p.m. July 25 and 2 p.m. July 26 at Beer:30, 402 Merchant St.
