Scholarships available

Alpha Theta Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma Society International will award two $500 scholarships for the 2009-2010 school year.
The scholarships are open to women who are juniors or seniors in college and majoring in education or an educationally related field. Recipients must also be residents of Lyon, Morris or Wabaunsee counties.

Delta Gamma is an international society that promotes professional and personal growth of women educators and excellence in education, according to a news release from the organization. Alpha Theta, the local chapter, has members in Lyon, Morris and Wabaunsee counties.
