Newman Hospital honors longtime employees

Fifty-four Newman Regional Health employees were honored at the annual Employee Recognition Awards Banquet on Jan. 22 at the Emporia Country Club.
Marla Pearson, director of social service, gave the invocation. Music was provided by Michael Ireland, violinist. Awards were presented by Robert Driewer, chief executive officer; Dr. Kendall Wright, Newman Board of Trustees chair; and Nancy LeClear, director of marketing and education.
Bill Ballard was honored for 35 years of service. Sheila Crumpacker and Nancy LeClear were recognized for 30 years of service. Debra Bueno, Becky Wheeler and Jami White were recognized for 25 years of service.
Those receiving awards for 20 years of service included Pat Alingh, Lori Fleming, Kim Fulton, Bernie Rahe, Dean Schroeder and Brenda Stock. Honored for 15 years were Kris Adams, Lisa Ayer, Marianne Dixon, Doug McGaw, Judy Murphy, Gaylene Robinson, Gina Slayden and Jan Steinbach. Ten-year employees included Kandi Alvarado, Marcy Godfrey, Delores Harrison, Wilma Malone, Sandy Mason, Jenny Morgan, Tonya Soyez, Jennifer Storch and Deborah White. Employees with five years of service were Molly Atchison, Becky Ballinger, Paul Behnke, Mary Brown, Phyllis Broyles, Brian Council, Evelyn Good, Maria Gutierrez, Jane Johnson, Jason Johnson, Richard Kuhlmann, Kaylene Leek, Dan McBride, Marla McClellan, Nancy Peterson, Kristina Redelfs, Teresa Rinker, Leanna Schmidt, Jennifer Skiles, Carrie Standiferd, Karen Tatman, Fauna Tungjaroenkul, Arie Williams and Joanne Young. Kathy Orear, director of human resources, recognized Anna Symmonds as the 2008 Newman Regional Health Employee of the Year.
In addition to guests of the award recipients and presenters, other hospital employees in attendance included Kim Bales, Kathie Butcher, Judith Calhoun, Danica Case, Vicki Fell, Holly French, Steffanie Hall, Amy Jarvis, Sheri Rawlings, Danita Rees, SheraLyn Schwindt, Julie Stowe, Dee Redelfs, Karen Hastert and NRH Board members Philip Winter and Don Bailey.
