Emporia Schools
BREAKFAST
Monday: Little Piggy or cereal and graham cookies.
Tuesday: sausage biscuit with jelly or cereal and graham cookies.
Wednesday: powdered funnel cake or cereal and graham cookies.
Thursday: burrito or cereal and graham cookies.
Friday: pancake on a stick or cereal and graham cookies.
LUNCH
Monday: corn dog, tater tots, broccoli, pineapple tidbits.
Tuesday: grilled cheese sandwich, tossed salad, tropical fruit, Rice Krispy treat.
Wednesday: beef taco, soft tortilla, Mexican rice, tossed salad, applesauce.
Thursday: turkey fritter, mashed potatoes and gravy, dinner roll, corn, pear half.
Friday: Little Smokies, macaroni and cheese, garlic biscuit, green beans, orange smiles.
Breakfast is served with juice and milk, lunch is served with milk.
Friendship Meals
Emporia
Friendship meals are served at noon at the Emporia Senior Center, 603 E. 12th Ave.
Reservations should be made one day in advance by calling the Senior Center, 343-3160, between 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. For home delivery, call 340-8001.
These meals will be served next week.
Monday: spaghetti with meat sauce, winter-blend vegetables, Texas toast, pineapple chunks.
Tuesday: scalloped chicken, peas, bread, cookie.
Wednesday: sliced turkey, gravy, dressing, Sicilian-blend vegetables, wheat roll, peanut butter pie.
Thursday: beef stew, cottage cheese, crackers, fruit cup.
Friday: hamburger gravy, mashed potatoes, carrots, wheat roll, gelatin with fruit.
North Lyon County
Friendship meals are served at noon at: the Americus Senior Center, 516 Locust St., (620) 443-5352 and the North Lyon County Senior Center at Allen, (620) 528-3414; Reading residents who want meals can call the North Lyon County Senior Center.
Reservations should be made by phone one day in advance.
These meals will be served next week.
Monday: meatball sandwich, potatoes, corn, peaches.
Tuesday: chicken and noodles, mashed potatoes, green beans, five-cup salad.
Wednesday: scalloped potatoes with ham, spinach, bread, fruit and marshmallow creme.
Thursday: beef stew with vegetables, biscuits, pineapple upside down cake.
Friday: sloppy joes on a bun, tater tots, broccoli, fruit cobbler.
• Menus are provided by the senior meal programs and the Emporia school district.
