Early in the fourth quarter on Thursday night, the Hartford girls had four shots in one possession. Two were point-blank layups, but all four missed.
It was just one of those nights for Hartford. Three days after playing one of their best games of the season, the Hartford girls played one of their worst, according to coach Tammy Windle, in a 47-35 loss to Waverly.
“They wanted it more than we did,” Windle said. “We were flat. We were not intense. We rested on our laurels. It was good enough for us to play good against Lebo. We played good against Lebo, that makes us good enough. That’s what it looked like.”
