Emily Say, Nutrition Services Clerk, stands by the winning door she decorated as part of the door decorating contest at Newman Regional Health. The door reads, “As we celebrate Christmas this year, we think of all Americans who are free to celebrate because of those who serve to keep our country safe. Please say a Holiday prayer for our soldiers.” A wide variety of themes and lots of creativity were evident in this year’s annual department door decorating contest. The 12 entries were voted on by people placing money in their appropriate jar in the cafeteria. After the contest was over, $312 was donated to the Salvation Army to help purchase food for Christmas dinners.
