Open house for Pearl Roberts
The family of Don and Arlene Roberts will be hosts for an open house Jan. 10 in honor of the 90th birthday anniversary of Pearl Roberts.
The open house will be from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Hartford Community Center for family, friends, acquaintances and former students. The family requests no gifts; instead, a donation will be made to the Elmendaro Township Library in the name of Pearl Roberts.
Night at the Museum
The Jan. 13 “Night at the Museum” speaker will be Bill Hanlon, consultant for the Greensburg Green Town Group and author of the book, “Outside the Box: Affordable Energy Efficient Construction Technique.”
Hanlon will talk about the green rebuilding of the tornado-devastated Greensburg. He is the director of the Green Building and Sustainable Developmental Center at Flint Hills Technical College.
All “Night at the Museum” programs are free of charge and held at the Lyon County Historical Museum, 118 E. Sixth Ave.
