Emporia Schools
BREAKFAST
Monday: Little Piggy or cereal and graham cookies.
Tuesday: sausage biscuit with jelly or cereal and graham cookie.
Wednesday: powdered funnel cake or cereal and graham cookie.
Thursday: burrito or cereal and graham cookies.
Friday: oatmeal bar and muffin or cereal and graham cookies.
LUNCH
Monday: hot dog on a bun, tater tots, broccoli, pineapple tidbits.
Tuesday: grilled cheese sandwich, tossed salad, tropical fruit, Rice Krispy treat.
Wednesday: beef taco, soft tortilla, Mexican rice, tossed salad, applesauce.
Thursday: turkey fritter, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn, dinner roll, pear half.
Friday: Little Smokies, macaroni and cheese, garlic biscuit, green beans, orange smiles.
Breakfast is served with juice and milk, lunch is served with milk.
Friendship Meals
Emporia
Friendship meals are served at noon at the Emporia Senior Center, 603 E. 12th Ave.
Reservations should be made one day in advance by calling the Senior Center, 343-3160, between 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. For home delivery, call 340-8001.
These meals will be served next week.
Monday: Swiss steak, au gratin potatoes, green beans, roll, fruit cocktail.
Tuesday: chili, coleslaw, crackers,cinnamon roll.
Wednesday: chicken lasagna roll-up, California-blend vegetables, bread sticks, pineapple and mango.
Thursday: chicken and rice, Sicilians-blend vegetables, cherries, bread, cheesecake.
Friday: fish, macaroni and cheese, Venitian-blend vegetables, wheat bread, pears.
North Lyon County
Friendship meals are served at noon at: the Americus Senior Center, 516 Locust St., (620) 443-5352 and the North Lyon County Senior Center at Allen, (620) 528-3414; Reading residents who want meals can call the North Lyon County Senior Center.
Reservations should be made by phone one day in advance.
These meals will be served next week.
Monday: ham and beans, V-8 juice, cornbread, fruited pudding.
Tuesday: sweet and sour meatballs, noodles Romanoff, spinach, wheat bread, peaches.
Wednesday: oven-fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, Italian-blend vegetables, wheat roll, gelatin with fruit.
Thursday: tater tot casserole, lettuce with dressing, bread, strawberries with topping.
Friday: Swiss steak with tomatoes, potatoes, corn, wheat bread, tropical fruit.
