ESU women lose at Washburn

Final
The Emporia State women will have to wait until Saturday to win their MIAA title outright.
Washburn gave the Lady Hornets their third conference loss of the season on Wednesday, 87-74.
Stanecia Graham led the Lady Blues with 28 points and Janice Bright added 19.
Sophia Lenard scored a season-high 26 points for Emporia State, and Ida Edwards added 16 points.
Washburn shot 48.5 percent from the floor and made 25-of-28 free throws. The Lady Blues also outrebounded Emporia State 38-33.

Half
The Emporia State women face their biggest halftime deficit of the season.
Washburn leads 43-36 and it is only the third time this season Emporia State has trailed at half.
The Lady Blues have scored most of their points in the paint and have thrown the ball into Stanicia Graham almost every possession. Graham has 20 points on 7-of-14 shooting.
Sophia Lenard leads the Lady Hornets with 13 points. Ida Edwards has 10 points and six rebounds.
