EACH WEEK during the basketball season, thousands of people fill William Lindsay White Auditorium to cheer the Hornet teams to victory.
Juggling school, athletics and their personal lives, the players give much of themselves to be the best they can be.
For everything the teams give to the community, the players rarely ask for anything in return.
But right now, there is one Lady Hornet who can use our help.
Cassondra Boston has been invited to play on the USA Athletes International Basketball team and has an opportunity go to Europe and compete in the 2009 Vienna Basketball Tournaments from May 28-June 6.
This is quite an honor, because only 10 players from around the country are selected to play. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for this athlete from Iowa.
Boston has sent out some fundraising letters, but the amount raised so far has left her far short of her goal. She needs to raise $3,500 by March 20.
Let’s show our community’s teamwork by helping Cassondra Boston reach her fundraising goal and participate in a unique experience for an ESU athlete.
If you can, send $1 or $100. Every donation will help. If you have questions call Brandon Schneider at 341-5354
