Fashion show at mall
“Meet Your Global Neighbors” will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Flinthills Mall, along with a fashion show at 2:30 p.m. People are invited to spend the afternoon visiting different countries from around the world, with college students from different countries available to speak about their countries, show items from their homeland, share music and answer questions. Students will wear traditional clothing during the fashion show. All “travelers” will receive a souvenir passport at each country they visit, stated the news release. Cameras are welcome. This is a Silver Award project by Girl Scout Troop 20050, sponsored by the Emporia Presbyterian Church. Cadettes are Jamie Aikman, Charissa Forsythe and Katie Metz. Card shower
