An 18-year-old Lenexa resident apparently escaped serious injury Saturday, when the car she was driving overturned on the Kansas Turnpike.
According to a report from the KTA Highway Patrol, Laura Gehring of Lenexa was driving south in the left lane at Milepost 103.3 when she swerved to avoid another vehicle. The 1999 Honda she was driving struck the inside barrier wall and overturned.
She was taken to Newman Regional Health, where a spokeswoman reported she had been treated and released.
No other passengers or injuries were reported in the accident, which happened about 7:54 p.m. on Saturday.
