Eureka
The Eureka Herald reported that the Eureka Foundation has partnered with the City of Eureka and Greenwood County over the past three years to help in an effort to improve the image of the city through the demolition of 27 structures in Eureka that are deteriorated or damaged in fire. The City of Eureka and the Eureka Foundation will continue to work together as time and resources allow.
Morris County
The Council Grove Republican reported that the Morris County Spelling Bee was held recently. Tanner Langvardt, Prairie Heights Middle School, is the county’s top speller. Alexis Kahnt, White City Junior High School, took second place and Luke Richardson, Council Grove Elementary School took third.
