Hartford Council
The City of Hartford council meets at 7 p.m. Wednesday in City Hall.
The agenda includes reports from mayor Roy Black about city hall roof estimates and maintenance supervisor Dan Fegan, water and sewer report, presentation of claims and warrants by city clerk Donna J. Kuhn and financial statement by treasurer Bernice Fegan; Bruce Boettcher, BG Consultants, water improvement project and water tower project updates, low bidder announced on the water system project and engineer’s recommendation to council; New Business: Joe Sinnett with Kansas Gas Service, a Division of ONEOK will seek to renew the natural gas franchise agreement with the City of Hartford for a period of 20 years, presenting Special Ordinance 13 for council approval; Kent Myers and Bill Heins with Westar Engergy, a Kansas corporation will seek to renew the electric franchise agreement with the City of Hartford for a period of 20 years, presenting Special Ordinance 14 for council approval; presented to council for adoption, resolution No. 1-2009 — a resolution authorizing certain water system improvements and authorizing the issuance of general obligation bonds to pay the cost thereof, all pursuant to charter ordinance No. 8 of the City of Hartford; citizens presentations; proposal from John and Evelyne O’Connor on ways to promote the use of the Hartford new community center.
