On Madison’s trip to White City, coach Alan Brown feared his team might take the Huskies too lightly. And early, on it looked like that might be the case. The Bulldogs rebounded though, using their perimeter shooting on their way to a 67-55 win.
“We started out slowly and got outscored early,” Brown said. “After the slow start I thought we really turned things around in the second quarter. I don’t know if we took them too lightly early on, but I thought we responded well to being behind.”
MHS was hot from the perimeter, hitting 14 3-pointers on the night and also shooting well from the line. Caleb Hamilton had a team-high 14 points. Michael Luthi scored 11, and Henry Ott and Zach Nowell both scored 10.
“We did a good job from the perimeter tonight, and did a good job hitting free throws at the line,” Brown said. “When we do those things well, I think we are going to be a tough team to beat.”
