Names of two Emporians were among four drawn Friday as grand prize winners in the “Keno Madness” drawing at Kansas Lottery headquarters in Topeka.
Linda Bell and Crystal Cooper, both of Emporia, each will receive a trip for two to the Division I men’s national college basketball championship games in Detroit, Mich.
The prize package includes two tickets for each game of the championship, April 4 through 6th, one double-occupancy hotel room for the nights of April 3 through 6th, airline transportation from Kansas City to Detroit, $5,000 cash, and payment of mandatory income withholding taxes, according to information from Lottery spokesman Sally Lunsford.
