Elk fundraiser is set in Emporia next week

The Flint Hills Chapter of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation will have its 18th annual banquet next week in Emporia.
The organization was established to preserve the Rocky Mountain elk and its habitat and other wildlife species.
The banquet, which will include an auction, will be at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 21 at the Best Western Hospitality House, 3021 W. Highway 50.
Auction items this year will include a Wyoming antelope hunt, a trip for two to the Professional Bull Riders finals in Las Vegas and wildlife prints.
Through Monday, tickets are $25 for the meal or $55 for a single supporting ticket, which includes the meal and a supporting membership; $75 for a couple supporting ticket with two meals and one membership; $320 for a single sponsor ticket (one meal, one sponsor membership); and $340 for a couple sponsor ticket (two meals, one sponsor membership).
Also through Monday, the Royal Deal will be offered — $100 worth of meal tickets for $60.
After Monday, all prices will be raised by $5.
Tickets of the pre-dinner raffle are $10.
