Walking tacos at Heights
The Northern Heights Booster Club will be host for a Walking Taco Supper beginning at 5:30 p.m. Friday at the home basketball game. The meal includes walking tacos with all of the toppings, beverage and dessert for $5. Proceeds will be used to help purchase warm-up pants for the boys’ and girls’ varsity teams.
Also, there is the ongoing half and half scholarship fund. Home game tickets are sold with a chance of winning one half of the ticket sale proceeds, with the other half going to the scholarship fund. The club has been offering $200 scholarships each to five seniors. The goal this year is to raise that amount to $250 or $300.
Valentine’s dinner
The Lebo Baptist Church will have the annual Valentine’s Banquet from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday. The suggested donation of $8 includes a dinner of creamed chicken, baked potato, green beans, tossed salad, hot roll, dessert and beverage. A smaller portion for children five years and younger can be purchased for a suggested donation of $5.
Pancakes on Sunday
The Eagle Creek Saddle Club is sponsoring a pancake supper from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Olpe Chicken House. The cost is $3 for all the pancakes one can eat. Sausage, eggs and beverages will be available for an extra cost. For more information, call (620) 437-2215.
