Robert Driewer, chief executive officer of Newman Regional Health, said Monday afternoon that a doctor who surrendered his license to practice medicine last week worked briefly in Emporia.
Driewer said that Dr. Chad Everett Sharp worked as a fill-in doctor for a company that supplies physicians to Newman’s emergency room.
Sharp’s periodic contact with Newman patients was from August to November 2008.
During that period of time, Sharp was accused of providing substandard care to patients at a health-care facility in Ashland.
