Emporia Schools
BREAKFAST
Monday: No school.
Tuesday: Little Smokies and Texas toast with jelly or cereal and graham cookies.
Wednesday: frosted long john and mozzarella cheese stick or cereal and graham cookies.
Thursday: pizza or cereal and graham cookies.
Friday: No school.
LUNCH
Monday: No school.
Tuesday: chicken patty on a bun, fries, baby carrots and dip, mandarin oranges.
Wednesday: burrito, nacho chips and cheese sauce, tossed salad, applesauce.
Thursday: chicken nuggets, dinner roll, cheesy potatoes, corn, peach half.
Friday: No school.
Breakfast is served with juice and milk, lunch is served with milk.
Friendship Meals
Emporia
Friendship meals are served at noon at the Emporia Senior Center, 603 E. 12th Ave.
Reservations should be made one day in advance by calling the Senior Center, 343-3160, between 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. For home delivery, call 340-8001.
These meals will be served next week.
Monday: chicken and noodles, mashed potatoes, peas and carrots, applesauce.
Tuesday: pork grill bites, rice, Brussel sprouts, bread, cherry crisp.
Wednesday: chicken-fried steak, baby bakers, succotash, roll, scalloped apples.
Thursday: chicken casserole, spinach salad, breaded tomatoes, biscuit, apricots.
Friday: ham, candied sweet potatoes, corn, rye bread, pineapple pudding.
North Lyon County
Friendship meals are served at noon at: the Americus Senior Center, 516 Locust St., (620) 443-5352 and the North Lyon County Senior Center at Allen, (620) 528-3414; Reading residents who want meals can call the North Lyon County Senior Center.
Reservations should be made by phone one day in advance.
These meals will be served next week.
Monday: chicken nuggets, mashed potatoes and gravy, beets, bread, fruit cocktail.
Tuesday: beef Stroganoff with noodles, tossed salad, wheat bread, pineapple chunks.
Wednesday: meatloaf, baked potato, corn, bread, apple turnover.
Thursday: ham and beans, V-8 juice, cornbread, blushing pears.
Friday: roast beef, mashed potatoes and gravy, carrots, hot roll, cherry cheesecake.
