Silver Key awards were won by Laci Biggs for ceramics/glass and Michael Lauppe for sculpture. Nic Kuhn received honorable mention awards for two jewelry pieces.

Other entries in the show include: Melissa Heinitz, jewelry; Blanca Herrada, painting; Kuhn, jewelry; Leeds, ceramics/glass; and Natasha Smith, painting.

They are students of Alan Keck, David Mai, Joshua Pavlik and Jan Spade.

The Scholastic Art Awards Exhibition is at the Wichita Center for the Arts through Feb. 22. The Center is open from 1 to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday and admission is free.

The national judging will take place in the spring. The national awards ceremony and national student exhibition will be in New York City in June.
