Conference times set

Parent-teacher conferences will be held early this semester in the Emporia Public Schools.
Spring semester conferences will be held next week, about a month before the end of the third-quarter. Parents will not receive grade cards during conferences; however, they will learn how their children are doing in their classes and if changes are needed to improve achievement.
Parents are encouraged to bring any questions or concerns to discuss with the teacher. Spanish interpreters will be at all of the schools to assist parents.
Elementary and intermediate schools will be open for conferences after school Wednesday afternoon, Thursday evening and Friday morning.
Emporia Middle School will have student-led conferences from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday and from 8 to 11 a.m. and noon to 3 p.m. on Friday.
At Emporia High School, conferences are scheduled from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 8 to 11 a.m. and noon to 2:50 p.m. Friday.
Maynard Early Childhood Center will hold conferences after school on Wednesday and all day until 7 p.m. on Thursday.
