Texas defensive back Dozier headlines crop of Emporia State signees

When Garin Higgins arrived at Emporia State two years ago, he and his staff had to rush to put together a recruiting class. They were more worried about numbers than needs.
On Wednesday, Higgins and his staff had the chance to celebrate the signs — and signatures — of the evolution of a program. Emporia State received 29 letters of intent on national signing day, the first day players are allowed to sign with a school. Higgins believes this is the best class he’s had at Emporia State, and for the first time, he was able to address some needs, in particular on the offensive line and at receiver.
