Rotary club members in District 5710 are looking for three adults willing, able and qualified to spend four weeks on a Rotary International Group Study Exchange.
Those chosen — all non-Rotarians — will represent the northeast Kansas district that sponsors a GSE annually.
“The team from northeast Kansas goes to a foreign country, and that country sends one over here,” Ken Buchele of Emporia Rotary Club explained. “In 2010, we’ll send a team to northern Brazil in the Amazon country.”
Rotary earlier had chosen four team members and an alternate for the trip. Unforeseen circumstances, however, caused two team members and an alternate to resign from the trip.
Buchele said that the team, made up of people who are not Rotary Club members or related to Rotarians, will be between the ages of 25 and 40 at the time of application.
