I am a mushroom man

To some people I am known as a “Fun Guy” because of my interest in “Fun Ji.” To others, I have long been known as a mushroom man. That came up again just recently.
I was not home, so Merle answered the phone and wrote me a note. A man had called to tell me that the yard, at a certain address, was just full of mushrooms. He lived next door and had some in his yard, too.
The next day, I drove by those addresses and saw no mushrooms at all. I do not know whether the addresses were wrong or what, but it did make me think of some past mushroom events. I would tell you about some of them, if I had my way.
During my 18 years at the University of Missouri, I taught mycology each year. That meant, in most minds, that I was the one to come to with a question about fungi. Since mushrooms are the fungi which are most commonly seen, most of the questions were about them.
