With the addition of a new position that focuses on physician recruitment, Newman Regional Health is making strides in adding new doctors to Emporia.
Newman Chief Executive Officer Robert Driewer told the Newman Board of Trustees during the monthly meeting Wednesday that recruitment efforts by Roy Mann, who was hired for the job of physician recruitment and retention, are paying off. Driewer said two applicants for an open pediatrics position are coming into the hospital, and there are other areas the hospital is working to fill as well.

After Roy Mann has filled up the hospital with young well-qualified doctors, which he will in short order, Emporia should use his talents to recruit other professionals. Pick the areas of experience and expertise you want to bring into the City and Roy can probably accomplish that task for you.
