Golden LivingCenter-Chase County in Cottonwood Falls has been selected by the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL) to receive the Step 1 Quality Award for the outstanding care and service it provides to its residents. According to the news release, the LivingCenter is one of only 435 nursing homes out of more than 10,000 eligible nationwide to earn this recognition. Awards will be presented during the AHCA/NCAL 60th annual convention and exposition Oct. 4-7, 2009, in Chicago, Ill. Judy Boyce is the executive director of Golden LivingCenter - Chase County.
