Anderson returns to Emporia district

Allison Anderson is the new coordinator of Early Childhood Services for the Emporia Public Schools this fall. Anderson oversees the preschool program for 3- and 4-year-olds at Maynard Early Childhood Center.
Anderson formerly worked as a school psychologist for the Flint Hills Special Education Cooperative. She worked 11 of her 13 years with FHSEC at Emporia High School. During 2008-2009, she was the Early Childhood Coordinator and Integration Supervisor for the DeSoto school district.
She has a bachelor’s degree from Fort Hays State University and a master’s degree from Emporia State University. She replaces Diana Jones, who retired in June.
