Invasion of privacy

I am writing in reference to the 2010 census. I do not think people know that they do not have to complete the whole census. The purpose is for population.
You list the amount of people in your home. You should not have to list sex, race, income, political party, etc.
The Constitution initiated it so they would know how many people were here. The Big Government has taken it to extremes. They even threaten you with penalties.
The lady that has came out the last few times was rudely insistent, borderline stalking. You have to get unpleasant to get her to leave. She even showed up at my daughter’s at 8:45 p.m. banging on her door and upset the baby. My daughter would not answer because she was alone and there was a stranger at her door knocking persistently.
Same lady went to my ill and disabled sister’s home at least three times for a random survey. I had to insist she leave and not come back. That took over 20 minutes.
She also showed up at my extremely ill brother’s house and with no consideration for his health. She got her survey.
Where are our rights? I know the importance of people count. The rest is just nosy and in people’s business where they do not need to be. People are entitled to know their rights.
Also, take a look at the backside of a birth certificate form that the hospitals give you. They ask all sorts of questions that have no pertinence to the birth certificate. The American people need to take back their right to privacy. They need to be re-educated on our rights as American citizens.

Sorry, crack, but you're wrong on the "citizens" part. The 2010 Census apparently isn't even about the government wanting to know who their CITIZENS are so they can better serve them. It has nothing to do with citizenship, hence, illegal immigrants will be allowed to figure into each states apportioned seats in the House of Representatives. Nice.

Read closer, crack. You missed it. Completely. Or else you are being sarcastic. Hard to tell.
"The census will help identify the illegals"........ where? How?

The census will not ask anything about citizenship, but the total headcount gathered from it WILL be used to apportion seats in the house. Per the article. That is ALL I was talking about. Calm down, take a deep breath, and retreat back to the original link. Nowhere in there was it mentioned that they would "compare this to that" or any of the scenarios you listed above. Besides..... it doesn't appear we've used census data in the past to do any of what you described, at least not to any extent - you really think they're gonna start now, especially when they don't even ask for the long form to be sent?
Where you get the idea I'm suggesting we'll have a better idea if we don't do the census.........I have absolutely no clue whatsoever. You need to pay closer attention to the article and what it said.

I never did fret the census. That was the writer of the original article, not me. I simply pointed out how for the 2010 census only the short form will be used, which does not ask about citizenship. Which is quite the opposite view of your suggestion that I thought we would do better with no census at all.
I'm sure if you take your suggestions to your congressperson they will be more than happy to start up a committe that will put your ideas to good use. Well..... depends on which side of the aisle they are on, and for which use.
However - I believe that including non-citizens in figuring seats for the House of Reps DOES harm me.
And...... I caught your (for you, VERY usual) snide remarks about my "little" article and a "couple of dudes". Mostly, when I think of "little"....... I think of your stature everytime you cop the attitude and belittle people on here, which is all too often.

{Tongue in Cheek} ---Heck folks...if you have a cable TV box or satellite box, they already know you well. They've been tracking your viewing habits, listening in on your conversations, counting the number of times you flush and probably the hours you sleep and God knows what else you all do in your homes. It's just 1984 folks...the talking head on the TV screen in every room in every home. We've already wired the darned system for them to use.
Go figure...it really is the boob tube.
Note from Big Brother...stop blogging in your briefs and nothing else on....it distracts the monitor.

LOL YY4U - those are some funny stories!
I've met some real idiot doozies from other planets in my life too. Some of those hated Fox News with a passion. :-)
Not sure what the point of this all is unless it's that "they" are found most everywhere..........

There is NOBODY out there anymore (if there ever was) that is right down the middle honest. Some come closer than others, at times.
Funny on O'Reilly last night. He berated a conservative talk show host saying that by having a negative opinion of every single thing that Obama does they were being dishonest and would lose credibility overall (which I think he has a point regarding some hosts). He then recanted how much negative mail he got for his positive article about Obama in Parade magazine recently. Which is one of the reasons that I get a good chuckle when liberals blast him for being all right-wing. It's obvious they do what they are told instead of finding things out for themselves.
I watch MSNBC occasionally, I really do. I honestly try to stomach it so that I can honestly be informed for myself and not just believe what I'm told by others who obviously have an agenda against them. Last night Maddow's guest was bringing up incidents like the person yelling "Kill Him" at the McCain rally. Since that was found to be a hoax long ago perpetrated by one liberal journalist, that was when I decided there was no further value added in watching them any more for the rest of that evening.

Yeah, but lets just say that I would trust it further to not have a hidden virus on it than I would an MSNBC downoad :-)

I was a census taker for the 1980 census around here. Never again. I never met so many nutty people in my life as I did then. One woman answered the door in flaming red underwear and tried to kiss me right in the doorway. What the hell...when I backed off, she tried to tug me inside. Needless to say, she didn't get interviewed.
Another woman was ironing and kept ironing as I interviewed her. Finally, at about the third question, she said calmly and resolutely, "The government killed my mother." When I tried to explain what the census was about, she repeated, "The government killed my mother." Then she pointed the iron in my direction and took a step toward me. I backed up. She stopped at the end of the cord as I backed right out the door. Another one that didn't get interviewed.
I wonder how many other people in this country don't get interviewed.

I've known about a half a dozen census takers and they all were murdered because of Fox news and Bush. One was run over by a nascar car. One was killed by a pitbull when she tried to run away and tripped over a small block 350 in the over grown front yard of a guy named Billy Bo Bob White.

LOL create, there are all kinds of folks in the world. Up until I started my current job, every job I'd had to that point included dealing directly with the public. You see people and their different personalities and traits up close and personal. I saw some pretty shocking things and some people I wish I'd never met.
The census is just another Governmental waste of time and money IMO.

Absolutely Marcia! I also live in Hartford and those people think they have the right to do whatever whenever. They ask NOYB questions (how many toilets do I have) and act like you have no options but to let them walk around and look at whatever they want to. There was an advance adress checker out here last Spring that INSISTED that my address was not correct as it wasn't on her list. She was so sloppily dressed and unprofessional that I made her leave the property. (and just try to get a sheriff out here to enforce the law of the regular citizen)
