The Chase County Leader-News reported that Cottonwood Falls Mayor Mike Swartz addressed the school board at a recent Board of Education meeting, with a proposal to purchase half of the district building for city offices.
The purchase would alleviate some of the debt owed on the building for the district.
The school board members will discuss the proposal at a later date.
