North Lyon swim night

A Back to School “Night Swim” will be held Friday at the Americus Community Pool from 7 to 8:30 p.m. for students in kindergarten through fifth grade and from 9 to 11 p.m for students in sixth through 12th grade only.

The swims are open to teachers and students from Americus, Admire, Reading and Northern Heights.

Each swim session also will have a watermelon feed.

The cost is $2, and no swim passes will be accepted. Teachers may swim at no charge.
