The Emporia School District will change to a new telephone system on Tuesday, according to community relations director Nancy Horst.
During the transition, telephone service to all schools and other district buildings may be interrupted, she said. All district personnel are expected to continue to have e-mail access.

under the open records act it would be interesting to know how much this new system is going to cost and how much is the phone bill been costing the past 5 years. no one showed up for the budget meeting, this is unfortunate because business consultant peter drucker said, the most important thing in communication is to hear what is not being said.
